WELCOME!

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY.

SCROLL DOWN TO LEARN MORE ABOUT ME AND MY WORK.

ADVOCACY

I am a former lawyer so advocacy is sort of in my veins. I've been involved in supporting the restaurant industry and a champion of sustainable food policy in a number of ways. I am working with Andrew Rigie on The NYC Hospitality Alliance Impact Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated focusing on workforce development, diversity, equity and inclusion, emergency meals, and more. I also founded the NYC Healthy School Food Alliance, which worked to reimagine school food in public schools across NYC.

WRITING

I’ve been a journalist for twenty years, covering the intersection of food, business, law and policy for publications such as The New York Times, New York Magazine, Eater, and Food & Wine. I'm on staff at José Andres Media where I am part of the editorial team behind José's new Substack, Longer Tables.

If you've been around a while, you remember The Strong Buzz, the pioneering food blog I started in 2003.

I also run Strong Writing, a full-service copywriting studio for restaurant, hospitality, and food & beverage businesses.

My cookbook with Akhtar Nawab entitled Good For You, is out now from Chronicle.

CULINARY CONCIERGE

I've been writing about restaurants for 25 years now—living, breathing and eating New York City's culinary scene, and I'm excited to help you plan the best NYC eating experience!

Whether you're traveling to NYC and wondering where to eat, celebrating a birthday, anniversary, graduation, or just a special someone, I'm here to plan all your eating adventures!
