HOME, a new Holiday Pop-Up from One Girl, Opens in Brooklyn

Artisanal Foods and Homewares from Local Makers and Women- and Minority-Owned Businesses

Home. Maybe you've had enough of yours? I know, it's a love hate relationship, but even so, it probably means a lot, especially now. A retreat to comfort and sanctuary. A place for a deep exhale. A long table where you gather with friends and family to share meals and moments, celebrations and joy. A place where life unwinds into memories.

On Friday November 20th, One Girl Cookies — the beloved New York City cafe and bakery known for its jewel-sized cookies, fat whoopie pies, and gorgeous cakes — will open the doors to HOME with One Girl, a Holiday Pop-Up shop featuring everything for your Holiday Home (or for the friends and family you want to send some socially-distant thoughtful gifts and cheer), located in the retail area of Brooklyn’s Invisible Dog Art Center.

For HOME, Dawn and Dave, the married owners of One Girl Cookies, have honored the welcoming and inclusive roots of their HOME, Dawn and Dave have made a point of featuring producers who are women and/or BIPOC. At HOME you will find award-winning Askinosie Chocolate made by a father and daughter company in small batches from cocoa beans they source directly from smallholder cocoa farmers in Ecuador, the Amazon, Tanzania and the Philippines; Spice Tree Organics, founded by daughters of Egyptian immigrant home cooks, sisters-in-law Elkady and Nokaly, who source organic, small-batch, non-irradiated spice blends; Ziba Foods, an artisanal nut and dried fruit company sourcing from traditional Afghan family farms and proudly employs a workforce that is 100% Afghan and 90% female; and Lomar Farms, owned by Yvonna Kopacz-Wright, a passionate a beekeeper who has started making candles on her family's restored 100 year old farm in Palisades, NY. You get the idea.

Naturally, there will also pie a full menu of One Girl pies, cakes, cookies and treats for your Thanksgiving and holiday table.

To complete your shopping experience, gift-wrapping and nationwide shipping are available. Dawn and Dave look forward to welcoming you HOME!
